Bingkai's Home Hunting

It has been a month in Geelong, we have been busy looking for a home for Bingkai. We looked around the city and came across a few good retail shops. But, we are looking for a place with characteristics and not `ordinary' retail shop to build Bingkai's framing workshop and artwork showroom.  And most importantly, the rent has to be within our budget! With all the points in our list, we have had some hard time in finding a place.

After days of hunting, in a happy coincidence we bumped into a gallery curator who is transforming an old industrial building into a creative hub & artists studio. And, he has invited us to join him with other artists, craftsmen, photographers, architect and interior designer to share the unique space.

We love this old shabby building for its raw unique beauty, the red brick wall, the tin shed, the roof truss and the inheritance of Geelong industrial history. It has the charisma that fascinates us. If we could join this creative community in near future, we would be so grateful. We could envision how the space would showcasing Bingkai's frames and artworks beautifully.

Please let us know what you think.

Cheers! ~

Hello Geelong! Here we are ... finally!

Eastern Beach Pool Geelong

Yay! We are finally here in Geelong. We love it here! And we made the decision, this is where Bingkai going to set foot in.  A beautiful vibrant port city an hour drive away from Melbourne.

We arrived in Geelong last Friday 14 September. Since then we have been busy with the real estate , haa... looking for cozy cottage for our accommodation and also a place for our work studio. Ideally we would love to have a work studio with live in amenities or we could have both in separate property. Will see how it goes.

While driving north and sourth east and west we have found many interesting shops and places to go. Mill Market at Newcomb is one of the stop, not only we were surprised of the antiques findings there, we love the meals in Peppermill Cafe.

Also, we have picked up one of our machine and it is now ready to set go any time. There is a few more coming the way.

We are excited and looking forward to the challenging path ahead.

Cheers ~

A Gift Designed for a Boss

Today let me share with you a frame designed as a gift for a boss. A lady came to us with one of her miniature bike collection. She would like to frame it as special retirement gift for her boss. With her stories, instead of usual colour mat-board or framing material, we had designed a background that comes with her personalised wordings.

Hope you like the sharing of our portfolio. Stay tune with us, we are bringing you more different framing ideas and decorative artworks.

Please let us know what you think, your comments would make us better.

Hope this post finds everyone well. Have a great day!

Signed Jersey Framed with Background Design

Hello,

Winter in Canberra to us is very cheerful, bright blue sky and singing birds flying around in the yard. It is not like how we thought winter would be gloomy and cold.

Today, we are adding a few photos here to our portfolio. These are a few framing design that we created for a client who has a full collections of signed jersey by legends and professional football players, Formula One champions, also gloves and shoes of boxing champion.

The frames are done in boxed frame with printed background design and some with embossed photo.

Big Drive to Geelong

Hi All,

How're you doing?

Big Drive to Geelong

We are back from our big drive to Geelong. Thanks to Oh! Hello Geelong for the awesome points of interests. We enjoyed most of Geelong, she makes us think of Penang, our hometown with beaches and beautiful town.

We have visited the chic neighbourhood of Pakington Street, artistic homestores and cozy cafes. And we had also dropped in Cefe Go! lovely relaxed cafe located at Bellerine Street. We love the facade design and also the interior. And, of course the food and coffee are marvellous.

And I love the fire place ... if possible I would like my future home to have a fire place, which really warms up the interior and comfy.

We have also a slow stroll along the coast line. Sculptures of Jan Mitchell greeted us along the way.

It's a lovely unique city, that we would love to re-visit and if possible to settle in.

Till next, have an awesome weekend ahead! Enjoy !!
